For the time being, this manual update procedure will hopefully keep you running. There must be some incompatibilities with Wine therein. It also uses a later version of Microsoft Visual C run-time. I did notice that the new edition updates the MEPS libraries from 2.2 to 2.3. It still says 2009, even though the data it presents is for 2010. Note that the program itself is not up-to-date. When you relaunch Watchtower Library for Mac, you will see that the day’s texts starting at December 2010 now appear. Replace the rs_data folder Making sure that you have shut down Watchtower Library for Mac, delete the rs_data folder and copy the rs_data folder off your 2010-edition CD-ROM in its place. Please follow the 9 steps below to find the RS_Data folder to be replaced by the 2011 RS_Data folder: 1) Library 2) Application SupportĨ ) E 9) Within the E(or other letter, see above.) folder, you will find rs_data. You can find it if you start at your home folder.

Starting assumption: you have installed Watchtower Library for Mac and installed the 2009 edition (read above)* Locate the rs_data folder This folder is where Watchtower Library editions store all the books, magazines, brochures, etc. Until the problem is resolved, you can perform a little workaround to update your 2009 edition with 2010’s information. So far as initial tests can tell, it does not run with Wine that includes later versions. If it works in my iMac it will work (hopefully!) with your Intel based Macbook/Pro/Air. It is my pleasure to announce the release of a workaround good enough to install the 2010 materials to the your existing 2009 WTLIB.

Upon receiving the announcement at the US Branch that the 2010 WTLIB CD was released, I picked one up and immediately install it to my iMac just to find out that the Wine software crashed and a window popped up saying that basically it cannot complete the install of the CD 😦 However, there is a workaround -thanks to a brother from England- until a permanent fix can be applied so that we can get a fresh install of 2010 WTLIB.
